The 12th EDiLiC Conference invites submissions for papers, symposia, workshops, and posters exploring theoretical perspectives, empirical research, pedagogical practices, educational policies, and teacher education initiatives related to pluralistic approaches, in both formal and non-formal educational contexts. Check the Conference Themes before submitting your proposal.
Proposals must be bilingual, i.e. in one of the network’s two languages (English or French) and in another language (Catalan, Spanish or any other Romance language). During the conference, the oral presentation must be delivered in one language, while the visual support (slides, poster, or other materials) must be presented in the other language.
Paper Presentation
A paper presentation is an oral presentation of the results of research, a project, or an experience. Paper presentations may be delivered individually or co-authored, with a maximum of four authors. Each proposal must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 300 words, clearly presenting the focus, objectives, and main content or findings of the proposed presentation.
Each paper presentation will be allocated 25 minutes in total: 20 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
Please complete this form to submit a paper presentation proposal. If your paper is part of a symposium, you do not need to fill in this form.
Symposium
A symposium is a coordinated thematic session bringing together three or four contributions related to the same research topic. The coordinator may be the sole author or co-author of only one of the contributions. The symposium proposal must include an abstract outlining the overall theme of the symposium and an abstract for each contribution. The abstracts, of no more than 300 words each, must clearly present the focus, objectives, and main content or findings of the contributions.
The symposium will have a total duration of 90 minutes, distributed as follows:
- 5 minutes for the general introduction to the theme and contributions.
- If the symposium includes three contributions, 25 minutes will be allocated to each: 20 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for questions and/or discussion.
- If the symposium includes four contributions, 20 minutes will be allocated to each: 15 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for questions and/or discussion.
- 5 final minutes for closing remarks.
The symposium organising team may decide whether the question and discussion period takes place after each contribution or is reserved for a joint discussion at the end of all presentations, provided that the total allocated time of 90 minutes is respected.
Please complete this form to submit a symposium proposal. Only the symposium coordinator should complete the form, including the names, affiliation, contact and abstracts of all participants.
Poster
A poster is a visual presentation that allows research, a project, or an experience to be presented in a concise format. Posters may be presented individually or co-authored, with a maximum of four authors. Each poster proposal must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 300 words, clearly presenting the focus, objectives, and main content or findings of the proposed poster.
The poster must be prepared in one language and presented orally in another, so that the language of the poster and the language of the oral presentation are different.
Please complete this form to submit a poster proposal.
Workshop
A workshop is a practical and participatory session that provides an opportunity to share, experiment with, and reflect on methodologies, resources, or experiences related to plural approaches.
The workshop will be conducted in one language but must include activities that necessarily involve the use of two or more languages.
Please complete this form to submit a workshop proposal.
Evaluation
All submissions will be reviewed blindly by at least two members of the scientific committee based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the conference themes
- Clarity, structure, and readability
- Robustness of theoretical and methodological framework
- Originality and contribution to the field of plurilingual education
